Abdimalik Ali Warsame

Is a Director at Garaad Institute. He holds a Bachelor’s degree and Master’s degree in Economics from the Simad University and Universiti Putra Malaysia, respectively. He is a researcher who co-authored papers with several renowned researchers. His research interests are focused on agricultural economics, environmental economics, monetary economics, and international economics. He has written several papers in relation to these areas in peer-reviewed journals. Abdimalik has also worked as a senior researcher, and Research Assistant in different institutions including the Department of Economics, Universiti Putra Malaysia.

Galad Mohamed Barre

is a junior researcher at Garaad Institute. His main research interests include poverty reduction, and Islamic finance and banking. He has written several publications. He previously worked at a best for mother & childcare organization as an Assistant Manager. He has also worked in different educational institutions. He is fluent in Somali and English, and in the Arabic language at intermediate level. He obtained his Bachelor’s degree in the Science of Banking and Finance from the SIMAD University in Mogadishu, and also obtained his Master’s degree in the Science of Islamic Banking and Finance from the International Islamic University of Malaysia in Kuala Lumpur.

Ibrahim Abdukadir

holds a Master of Economics from the University of Malaya, Malaysia. Ibrahim is a researcher at Garaad Institute. Prior to that, he worked as a Research Assistant and Senior Researcher in various institutions, including the Department of Economics, University of Malaya. His research interests are international economics, development economics, agricultural economics, and financial markets. Ibrahim has published his work in top journals in the economics field.

Abdullahi Abdirahman Hassan

is a researcher at Garaad Institute, with experience in different areas. He worked at Golis Telecommunication as a Sales Manager. He also worked at Amal Bank as a Marketing Officer, and as a lecturer at The East African University. He is fluent in both English and the Somali language. He completed his Bachelor’s degree in Economics at the Amoud University in Borame. Also, he obtained his Master’s degree in Financial Economics from Universiti Putra Malaysia in Serdang, Selangor. He has written various articles on economic issues in Somalia.

Onyegbule Queensley

Being in love with research and discovery, Onyegbule Queensley is currently a researcher at Garaad Institute. She obtained her bachelor degree in education economics from Imo state university, Nigeria and her Master Degree from University Putra Malaysia. Her major area of research interest is environment, education and women empowerment. Aside being an experience researcher, she is also a published author of several articles with some of the distinguished researchers on the topics of self-help for the empowerment of women. She has worked at forest research institute Malaysia (FRIM).

Mohamed Ahmed Salad

Mohamed Ahmed Salad is a researcher at Garaad Institute. He holds a Bachelor's Degree in Economics. He has participated in several conferences relates to Business and Economics. He is the CEO and the Founder of Atlos company. Mohamed worked as marketing researcher officer at Somtel and logistic officer at Solargen Technologies Ltd's.
